JL “CARS” Rules

Class Objective: a pancake “KSR Continuation” class that doesn't require an extended scavenger hunt for oddball AFX/Magna/Quadra/ Super-Whatever arms, trick-of-the- week tires. Easy to build and tune, stupid-fast, slippery-handling and fun-to-drive KSR car.

- JL/AW chassis only.
- JL armatures only (14 ohms or higher, balancing/truing allowed).
- JL top gears plates and gears only.
- JL magnets only (may be sanded or shimmed with non-magnetic material).
- Any commercially available drive pinion/crown gear.
- Any metal axles.
- Any pre-2009 Frey front end (old-style high-CG front ends) is allowed. 2009 Frey-legal non-rotating mass front ends (i.e. RT-230 - Composite Front End) are illegal.
- Slip-on silicone tires, minimum .360 Diameter, Black only.
- Any pickup shoe allowed.
- Any copper brush allowed (stock is perfect).
- Injection molded bodies only, may be lightened and lowered (body type, material and vehicle style, can be changed by race host).
- Cars must carry minimum three racing numbers (all the same) and may be painted in individual racing liveries to resemble 1:1 race cars.
- No weight minimum; 24-gram maximum.
- The complete car must freely pass through a standard 1.3125” (1 5/16”) HO tech block.
